Nexus
is a comprehensive workflow management system that automates the
pre-press production workflow in commercial printing as well as
packaging and labeling environments. Born from the integration of
Artwork Systems’ industry-leading vector and raster technologies,
Nexus offers optimum performance and a level of functionality unmatched
in the industry. It adds flexibility to your process, enhances your
control, and boosts your productivity.
Nexus
is a fully modular and flexible workflow system, built from three
main modules, allowing you to configure your own system tailored
to your needs. Nexus easily integrates with the equipment and software
currently in operation, even allowing communication with other RIPs
or workflow systems since each module has its own supported input
and output formats.
The
first module, NexusImport, handles the import of PDF 1.3, PostScript
3, TIFF/IT as well as ArtPro native data. NexusProcessor, the second
main module, handles all content related modifications like versioning,
double burn and automated Step and Repeat. The third module, NexusRIP,
actually performs all the necessary processing to calculate proofs
as well as the final films or plates, regardless of the brand of
proofer, imagesetter or platesetter being used.
Nexus
also allows for last minute corrections at any stage in the workflow,
whether the document is at the NexusImport, NexusProcessor or NexusRIP
stage.
NexusEdit
has all the necessary tools to give full editing control over the
documents.

The Prosetter
74 Platesetter
Violet
computer-to-plate technology finally is available. The
Prosetter 74 Platesetter gives us all the speed and quality
benefits to fulfill your specific demands. It is a semiautomatic
4-up platesetter with a plate format (W x H) of minimum 370 x 323
mm, up to maximum 670 x 750 mm. Depending on the platetype, up to
16 plates can be exposed per hour, at a resolution of 2,540 dpi.
